She has been studying me for days now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it’s her persistence that amazes me the most:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She keeps putting her fingers in my mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Something that not many would do<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Out of fear of being bitten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which I have thought about doing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or maybe even licking her fingers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I try not to react and she seems okay with this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She pulls her seat closer<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I can feel her body<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pressing against my face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Again I try to be casual about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She’s full of compliments,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As if whispered in my ear,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Telling me that I’m doing a beautiful job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the moment her fingers leave my mouth<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I say “thank you”\u2014even in awkward situations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You should be polite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In they come again,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I can only stare at the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I try not to look directly into her eyes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No matter how close she gets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I feel as if I’d go blind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have another moment to say “thank you.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You’re welcome,” she says. “You can get up now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
